THE FINEST ACCOMMODATIONS

MORE THAN JUST A BED AND BREAKFAST

After a full day of bumping along rugged trails immersed in the immense beauty of the Colombian Andes, the last thing you want to do is curl up on a thin foam pad in a hot, buggy cell and suffer through a night of fitful, Reggaeton-interrupted sleep. That's why Go!Adventure Tours puts an absolute premium on premium accommodations for each and every one of our overnight stays.

Depending on our location for the evening, you might stay in a luxurious rural hacienda, a historic colonial hotel, or a homestay-style hostel. No matter which of these we arrive at, you can count on a clean, comfortable — and private — room, close to everything you need and peaceful enough to ensure a good night's sleep.

Go!Adventure's basecamp is a historic hacienda outside Ubaté named Tausavita. Dating to the late 1600s, Tausavita was originally constructed as a Colombian military outpost. Today it's a luxurious (and privately held) horse ranch that belongs to the family of one of our guides (granting us exclusive access), and is an exceptionally calm, quiet and comfortable location to unwind before or after a hard day's ride. Everyone who travels with Go!Adventure Tours will spend at least two nights at this stunning property (your first and last night with us); maybe more depending on the trip itinerary.

During our "away" nights when we are out on the trail, we typically spend our evenings in one of Colombia's iconic "Pueblos Patrimonios" (Heritage Towns) like Barichara, Villa de Leyva, Cucunubá, or others. On these nights we stay in upscale, locally owned hotels that are centrally located, typically on the main town square, so you can absorb all the authentic local flavor of the community and then quickly and conveniently return to your room when you are ready to retire for the evening.

On the rare occasion we find ourselves in a remote location like the bottom of Chicamocha Canyon or deep along the Emerald Trail in Boyacá, we will occasionally stay in a homestay-style hostel. These are always memorable nights, offering unexpectedly intimate experiences that often include home-cooked, family style meals and other exceptional and uniquely Colombian expressions of hospitality that more than make up for any compromise in terms of luxury or creature comforts. These are the stays you will remember more than all the others.
